Is there a greeting card that plays a personalized song when you open it?

The Tuneliq Card is a physical greeting card we're still building, and it isn't for sale yet. It holds a personalized song gift, the kind Tuneliq makes now in the app, and plays it the moment you open it. The person you give it to needs no app, no account, no internet, and nothing to scan.

What is the Tuneliq Card?

It's a real card, the kind you'd hand someone across a table, with one song written inside it. You make the song the way you do today. You write down what you want to say, and Tuneliq turns your words into a song with lyrics, melody, and a sung vocal. Then, over Bluetooth, that song gets written into the card. From that point on, the card carries the song by itself.

Recordable greeting cards already exist. You've probably opened one that plays a few seconds of you saying "happy birthday" when you lift the flap. The Tuneliq Card isn't that. It doesn't record your talking voice. It holds a full song made for one person, and it plays when the card is opened. Same shelf as a music card, different thing inside.

One thing to say up front: you can't buy this yet. It's on the roadmap, coming later.

Why does "pick it up and it plays" matter?

Because it takes the person receiving it out of the setup entirely. Today, when you finish a song in the app, you share it with a link or a QR code. The person taps it and listens in a browser, with no app to download and no account to make. That's already about as light as a link can get.

The card removes even the tap. Think about who you might give this to. A grandmother who doesn't open links from her phone. A dad who'd need someone to walk him through a QR code. A kid at a kitchen table with no wifi. None of them has to do anything. They pick up the card, it opens, the song is there.

The reason it's worth building is emotional. The moment you're after is them hearing the song. You don't want them figuring out how to hear it first.

What could you do with it besides play it?

A few things, all built around the moment of opening. You could set the card up as a reveal, so the song starts the first time it's opened. You could lock it as a gift, so it's clearly meant for one person. And you could set it as a keepsake that opens on the day that matters, like an anniversary or a graduation morning, so the first play lands on the right day instead of the day it shipped.

We talk about that last one as an experience, not a guarantee. The idea is a card that waits for the moment, and a song that's still there years later, long after most gifts have been used up or set aside. On the practical side, the card charges in about two hours and plays for hours on a full charge, so it isn't something you have to keep plugged in.

Can you buy the Tuneliq Card today?

No, and we'd rather say that plainly than let it read like something on sale. The card is what we're working toward. You can't put it in a cart today.
