Where do your songs live after you make them in Tuneliq?

Every song you make in Tuneliq is a personalized song gift, and it lives on your phone. By default it stays there — local-first, never uploaded. Nothing goes to the cloud unless you choose to share it. When you do, you make a link; the person taps it and hears the song, no app needed. Stop sharing anytime and it's deleted.

Where do the songs go by default?

A song you make in Tuneliq is saved to your own phone. That's it. It doesn't get copied to a server, and it doesn't sit in an account somewhere waiting to be synced. This is what "local-first" means: the song stays with you until you decide to do something with it.

Say you wrote a song for your mom's birthday and haven't sent it yet. It's on your phone and nowhere else.

Most apps work the other way, and so do most tools that make music with AI: what you make is kept on their servers by default. You take a photo or jot a note and it's backed up before you've thought about it. Tuneliq starts from the opposite place. A song written for one person is private by default, and it stays that way unless you choose otherwise.

What happens when you share one?

When you want someone to hear their song, you share it, and sharing is something you do on purpose. Tuneliq makes a link, or a QR code, for that one song. The person you're giving it to taps the link and the song plays. They don't download the app, and they don't set up an account.

Maybe you text the link to your dad, or you show it to your partner in person. It's the same link either way.

That link isn't permanent, and it isn't out of your hands. You can stop sharing whenever you want, and the moment you do, that song is deleted from the cloud. So the only time any part of your song leaves your phone is the window when you've chosen to share it.

So who can actually hear a song you made?

By default, only you. A song sitting on your phone isn't posted anywhere, and there's no public gallery of the songs people make, so nobody can browse to yours. Once you share the link, the person you send it to can play it. When you're done, you stop sharing and it leaves the cloud, so it goes back to being just yours.

Why keep a song on your phone at all?

Because a personalized song gift is written for one person, and who gets to hear it is part of the gift. Keeping it on your phone means you decide when it stops being only yours.

The flip side is honest. A song you keep only on your phone lives with your phone. There's no copy quietly waiting on a server. If you switch phones or delete the app before you've shared a song, don't assume there's a backup to pull it from. If you want someone else to have it for keeps, share it with them.

What Tuneliq doesn't promise about your songs

Here's the honest part. Tuneliq doesn't promise to keep your songs in the cloud forever, because it isn't trying to be your storage. The cloud only holds a song while you're actively sharing it, and only so the other person can play the link. That's the whole arrangement, and there isn't fine print hiding a second copy somewhere.
