Song story

Background

Tyler is 24 and spent his teens arguing with his dad Todd about everything. Now that he's on his own, he keeps hearing his dad's words come out of his own mouth — and realizing how often the old man was right. This Father's Day, out on the lake where they've fished since he was a kid, he wants to finally say the thank-you they've never managed out loud. He wrote it into a heartfelt ballad.
